Meat portioning and packaging
Company introduction
The company is focused on portioning, grinding and packaging of meat in the north of Italy.
Company requests
The company does not have a wastewater treatment and needs to comply with the sewage adduction systems. The spaces available do not allow the construction of a chemical-physical and / or biological plant.
Problem
At the end of the day the wastewater, coming from the washing and sanitation procedures of the line production, is collected in a 60mc tank equipped with aerators.
The daily flow rate to be treated is approximately 40mc.
The wastewater has suspended solids, surfactants, COD over 2000ppm and a strongly alkaline pH.
Solution
The wastewater is taken from the storage tank and sent to the DP4 plant.
The wastewater taken from the storage tank is sent to the DP4 installation. The dosage of 1500 ppm of multifunctional flocculant powder achieves the reduction of the critical parameters and allows the discharge into the sewer.
Technical conclusions
The customized formulation of the product and the use of a compact system have solved the problem of wastewater treatment with a reduced economic investment and a fully satisfactory technical result.
