Company introduction
In northern Italy, located in the area of ham production, the company is focused on boning hams.
Company requests
The company needs to respect the discharge limits of the sewer. The area available do not allow the construction of a chemical-physical and / or biological plant.
Problem
The wastewater, consisting mainly of the washing and sanitizing water of the line production, is collected in a series of trap tanks for the fatty matter floatation.
The daily flow to be treated is approximately 10mc.
The wastewater has suspended solids, surfactants, COD over 3500ppm and a strongly alkaline pH.
Solution
The wastewater is taken from the storage tank and sent to the DP4 plant.
The dosage of 2000 ppm of multifunctional flocculant in powder reduces the value of critical parameters and allows the discharge into the sewer.
Technical conclusions
The customized formulation of the product and the use of a compact plant have solved the problem of wastewater treatment with a reduced economic investment and a fully satisfactory technical result.
