The fluorescent dyes are present in very small quantity in the rinsing waters coming from the non-destructive tests, but their removal is extremely difficult and the disposal is very expensive.
The trials, carried out directly in the customer’s laboratories, demonstrate that the electrocoagulation remove the colour from the water, reusable for rinses, and transfer the fluorescence into the sludge that is positive to the Wood’s lamp test.
The customer appreciated a technical and economic advantage adopting a winning technology from many points of view.
