Company introduction

In the north-west of Italy the aerospace company produces military aircraft.


Company requests

The company disposes the wastewater containing the penetrating liquids used in non-destructive tests for non-ferrous materials. The company asks to evaluate an alternative solution.


The fluorescent dyes are present in very small quantity in the rinsing waters coming from the non-destructive tests, but their removal is extremely difficult and the disposal is very expensive.


The trials, carried out directly in the customer’s laboratories, demonstrate that the electrocoagulation remove the colour from the water, reusable for rinses, and transfer the fluorescence into the sludge that is positive to the Wood’s lamp test.

Technical conclusions

The customer appreciated a technical and economic advantage adopting a winning technology from many points of view.
